Body Images has been a fixture of Baton Rouge's Mid City neighborhood since 1996, making it the city's oldest tattoo shop. Owned by husband-and-wife team Bryan and Christine Loggins, the studio offers both tattooing and piercing services within a newly expanded space. Bryan, a second-generation tattoo artist tattooing since 2008, specializes in large-scale work including portraits, black and grey realism, sleeves, and neo-traditional pieces, while Christine leads the piercing side of the business. The team's mission centers on creating quality, meaningful artwork while fostering a positive, inclusive environment that supports growth for both clients and artists.
The resident artist roster reflects a range of specialties, from bold traditional designs and illustrative black work with pops of color to versatile styles spanning black and grey, pen and ink, and neo-traditional tattooing. Several artists have deep roots at the shop, including one who began an apprenticeship there back in 1998. Guest artists also rotate through the studio, adding further variety to the shop's offerings. With over 26 years of continuous operation in the same community, the studio has built its reputation on craftsmanship, consistency, and a welcoming atmosphere for clients at every stage of their body art journey.
