INK Tattoo Studios has been operating in Dubuque, Iowa since November 1, 2008, when it opened as the city's first all-disposable tattoo studio. It remains Dubuque's oldest tattoo establishment and art studio, owned and operated by artist Mark Weiland, who holds a BFA degree from Iowa State University. The studio is fully licensed and insured, using only pre-packaged, sterilized disposable equipment alongside eco-friendly supplies to keep both clients and the environment protected throughout every procedure.

The team creates custom tattoos and fine art, with Weiland working alongside apprentice Lily Nesta, also a BFA-trained artist. Appointments are preferred, though walk-ins are welcomed on Wednesdays and Thursdays as availability allows. The studio focuses exclusively on tattooing, offering no piercing services, and emphasizes producing high-quality artwork while minimizing permanent waste. Clients are guided through an informed, safety-conscious process from consultation to completion, reflecting a studio culture built around craftsmanship, sustainability, and nearly two decades of dedicated artistic practice in the Dubuque community.
