Wantfull Things Tattoos & Cultural Artifacts is a Birmingham, Alabama tattoo shop and punk rock thrift store run by artists Brian and Hannah Burx. Brian is a Birmingham-based visual and tattoo artist inspired by 90's comic books, punk rock, tacos, and the people he meets, and his original punk rock art style carries through into the shop's tattoo work. The studio also specializes in pet portraits, and tattoos are booked by appointment only. Alongside tattooing, the space doubles as a store for cultural artifacts, art prints, and handmade items like trinkets, pins, stickers, and statues.
Beyond tattooing, the shop is deeply tied to Birmingham's punk and art community. Brian is the creator and producer, and Hannah the host, of the Birmingham Punk Rock Art Show, a recurring live music and art event that has held over 30 shows since it began in 2017, alongside hundreds of other community events. The shop also hosts regular Punk Night and Metal Night gatherings at a local brewery. Commissions are welcomed, and updates on events, releases, and new art are shared regularly through social media and a monthly newsletter, reflecting a hands-on, community-driven approach to both tattooing and visual art.
