Moth & Magpie Tattoo Studio is an all-custom tattoo shop in downtown Augusta, Georgia, spread across three floors and staffed by ten artists who each specialize in different styles. Founded in 2022 by owner and artist Jake Richman, the studio was built to offer a welcoming, art-driven, and professional environment every time a client walks through the door. The focus here is on designing one-of-a-kind custom pieces, with the goal of creating a positive, lasting impression for every client who sits in the chair.

The studio accommodates work of every scale, from small walk-in or appointment-based pieces completed in under an hour, to single-session tattoos requiring two to six hours of work, up to large-scale projects like sleeves, back-pieces, and blackout work that unfold across multiple sessions and consultations. This range allows artists to tailor the process to the complexity of each design while keeping the emphasis on custom artistry throughout. Open Wednesday through Saturday, the shop has built a reputation as one of Augusta's leading studios, known for a friendly atmosphere alongside a genuine commitment to craftsmanship and client experience.
