Castro Tattoo

Castro Tattoo has been a fixture in San Francisco's Castro district since 2001, offering high-quality, diverse tattoo work in a welcoming LGBTQ+ friendly environment. The studio's team covers a wide range of styles, from color realism and fantasy color work to fine line, black work, black-and-grey realism, illustrative color, American Traditional, and playful cartoon-inspired pieces. Clients can collaborate with experienced, friendly artists to create custom tattoos suited to their individual vision, all within the vibrant surroundings of the Castro neighborhood.

The shop has earned recognition as one of the best tattoo studios in the Bay Area, with its collective of artists accumulating more than 25 industry awards. Beyond tattooing, the studio is active in its community, hosting guest artists throughout the year and producing the Queercation tattoo conference. It also offers sliding-scale tattoo options for community workers and marginalized community members, along with free video consultations for those booking appointments. With a rotating lineup of resident and guest artists, San Francisco's Castro Tattoo continues to serve both longtime locals and visitors seeking personalized, professionally crafted tattoo artistry.
