Lucky Van's Tattoo - Tattoo Shop San Francisco
5736 Mission Street, San Francisco, CA 94112
Lucky Van's Tattoo has served San Francisco since 2008, when three close friends, Lucky, Van, and Eric, founded the shop together. It's a street shop with a humble beginning, built with no business loans or banks involved, on the concept of friends and family. The team brings over 30 years of combined tattooing experience, with artists including Van Trinidad, Flash, Junior, Yogi, and Justin. As a family-run operation, the studio has tattooed four generations deep within some families, from baby boomers to millennials, and has grown strictly through word of mouth rather than advertising.
The shop welcomes both walk-ins, handled first-come, first-serve, and appointments, which are preferred and can be booked online. Beyond custom tattoo work, services include tattoo styles spanning the artists' range, cosmetic tattoos, and piercings. Rooted in San Francisco's neighborhoods and shaped by the city's people and families, the studio describes itself as open to all walks of life, inlaws and outlaws alike. Many clients get their first tattoos here, drawn by the shop's focus on a memorable experience and quality artwork built on genuine community ties rather than marketing.
