Wild Bill Tattoo has served Roseville, California for 50 years, making it the oldest single-owner tattoo shop in the state. A staff of ten male and female artists works from the shop at the corner of Lincoln and Vernon, specializing in a wide range of styles including black and grey, realism, illustrative work, and neo-traditional design. The studio focuses on custom and freehand tattooing, encouraging clients to take part in shaping their own designs so the finished piece carries true depth, dimension, and detail. Sterilization practices are monitored and tested weekly, and single-service equipment is used for every client's safety.
The shop has been recognized as "Best Tattoo Studio" by the readers of Sacramento Magazine for eleven years running, and was named Sacramento's Number One Tattoo Studio in 2008 by the Sacramento Business Journal. Beyond tattooing, the studio hosts an Annual Tattoo-A-Thon, a marathon fundraising event where proceeds and artist tips are donated to UC Davis Children's Hospital, with more than $331,500 raised to date. Walk-ins are welcome for piercing, though appointments are recommended for tattoos so each client receives dedicated attention. The shop is open seven days a week and remains a long-standing landmark within the Roseville community.
