Dark Horse Tattoo has been a fixture of the Los Feliz neighborhood in Los Angeles, California, since 2010, when Bryan Burk opened the shop with the goal of creating a non-intimidating, relaxed atmosphere while upholding the highest levels of craftsmanship and artistry. He was soon joined by Adam Warmerdam, and together their stylish aesthetic and fresh approach to American and traditional Japanese tattooing quickly established the studio as one of the most sought-after shops in the city. Other resident full-time artists include Aaron Garcia, Martina Major, and Candi Kinyobi.
Beyond its resident lineup, the studio regularly hosts guest artists such as Bailey Hunter Robinson, Chris Conn, Jeff Rassier, Will Sheldon, Gordon Combs, and Jason Vaughn, making it an ongoing gathering place for creative tattooers from around the world to exchange ideas and push the craft forward while staying rooted in tradition. The team welcomes clients with any concept in mind and is happy to help conceptualize a next tattoo from scratch.
