Paia Tattoo Parlor has served Maui's North Shore since 2009, located upstairs with an ocean view in downtown Paia, Hawaii. The shop describes itself as a modern space with an old school vibe, specializing in Traditional and Old School Classic work alongside Bold Line, Fine Line, Neo Traditional, and Japanese styles, as well as American traditional, black & grey, and portraiture. The team houses an array of resident artists and also hosts traveling artists for guest-spotting opportunities on the island, with combined experience among the crew totaling more than 70 years.
The parlor takes on projects ranging from a simple name to full sleeve work, aiming for a clean, comfortable environment while offering a wide variety of artists and styles under one roof. Walk-ins are always welcome and handled first come, first served, while appointments are made in person at the shop with a cash deposit rather than online or by phone. The shop is open daily from 11am to 7pm. Visitors are encouraged to stop by in person to talk through tattoo ideas and get a project started in what the studio calls its own piece of paradise.
