Their partnership briefly expanded into additional locations in Kailua-Kona, though the two eventually and amicably split the business, with Babino retaining the Kona shops and Brandon keeping the flagship Hilo studio, where Native Flesh Tattoo continues to operate today.
The studio's roots remain firmly planted in Hawaii, reflecting a deep connection to the local community and culture. The shop features a small team of resident artists working under its roof, each maintaining their own portfolio of tattoo work. Brandon has expressed a long-term dream of eventually traveling to share his artwork more widely, while the studio itself stays grounded in its Hilo home base, carrying forward the ethos woven into its name and story.
