Avant Garde Tattoo

Avant Garde Tattoo has been part of Trondheim's tattoo scene for ten years, growing from a small shop into a team of seven artists working under one roof. The studio emphasizes custom design work tailored to each client, using tried-and-tested, modern equipment to ensure safe, high-quality results. Bookings are made directly through individual artists, each of whom maintains their own consultation and scheduling process, and the studio only operates by appointment.

The artists collectively cover a wide range of styles, including black and grey and color realism, custom design work, medieval and traditional-inspired linework and dotwork, illustrative and new traditional pieces drawn from nature, fineline, geeky and blackwork designs, and colorful illustrative motifs. Several artists describe themselves as all-round tattooers who adapt to each client's wishes while maintaining their own artistic signature, ranging from small delicate fineline work to large-scale custom pieces. Clients can browse individual artist portfolios and follow their work on Instagram and Facebook before booking a session in Trondheim.
