Laaps Tattoo is a realism and portrait tattoo studio operating in Oslo, Norway, working out of Element Tattoo, one of the leading shops in the city. The artist behind the studio has spent over 10 years honing a specialty in hyper-realistic, custom-designed pieces, often sketching directly on the skin so each tattoo harmonizes with the client's body. That technical foundation is backed by three years of formal training at the Florence Academy of Art, a world-renowned realism painting academy, giving the work an academic precision rarely found in tattooing. The apprenticeship behind this craft began in 2015, and the focus on realism has remained consistent ever since.

Every session prioritizes close collaboration with clients, translating personal stories, references, or rough concepts into detailed, one-of-a-kind designs. The studio uses modern equipment, including the FK Irons Flux Max machine, and follows strict, regularly updated hygiene protocols, with annual hygiene courses ensuring safe practice. This dedication to realism has been publicly recognized, including a Best of Realism award at Bergen Tattoo Convention in 2024 and a repeat win at Oslo's Viken Tattoorama in 2025. Sessions are typically booked as half-day or full-day appointments depending on the scale and complexity of the design, allowing enough time for intricate, striking artwork that captures fine detail and lasting depth on skin.
