The Tattooed Heart

The Tattooed Heart is a world class tattoo and art studio in West Auckland, New Zealand. Established on Auckland's iconic Karangahape Rd in 2004, the studio relocated to the Te Atatu Peninsula in late 2023. The team designs custom and classic pieces and also welcomes walk-ins, with an extensive selection of flash available for those who want to pick up a ready-made design or bring in their own. Resident artists include Adam Craft and Liesje for tattooing, alongside Debbie, who offers both tattooing and cosmetic tattooing, with local and international guest artists also working out of the studio from time to time.

Known for strong Japanese and traditional tattoo work, the studio's artists produce large-scale pieces including backpieces, sleeves, and cover-ups alongside custom designs of any size. Beyond tattooing, the space doubles as an art studio, showcasing limited edition prints and paintings by the resident artists, along with clothing and merchandise designed in house. Walk-ins are welcome throughout the week, and the studio takes appointments for those seeking custom consultations. It's a creative hub blending tattoo artistry with fine art in one of Auckland's most scenic seaside suburbs.
