Hollywood Mark Tattoo Amsterdam

Hollywood Mark Tattoo Amsterdam operates in the center of the city, founded by artist Mark Favela, who began tattooing in 1990 at Spotlight Tattoo in Hollywood, apprenticing under Bob and Charlie Roberts before moving to Amsterdam to work with Henk Schiffmacher (Hanky Panky) for seven years. He opened his own shop in the fall of 2007. With a background in commercial art, sign painting, and offset printing, he specializes in lettering, and his broad training allows him to work across a wide range of styles, from Japanese sleeves to custom lettering and beyond.

While traditional subjects like skulls, roses, tigers, and pin-ups are a particular favorite, the studio welcomes all styles and ideas, aiming to customize each client's specific concept. Gallery work spans cover-ups, Japanese, lettering, old school traditional, tribal, and black & grey tattooing. Over more than two decades in Amsterdam, the artist has tattooed numerous celebrities and athletes, and has been recognized within the Dutch tattoo scene, including a nomination as one of the country's best tattoo artists. The shop's roots combine old-school apprenticeship training with decades of hands-on experience across many tattooing traditions.
