SLANT INK Design

SLANT INK Design is a custom tattoo and painting studio in Kasugai, Japan, operating on a fully appointment-only basis. The studio focuses exclusively on custom work, creating one-of-a-kind designs tailored to each client rather than offering flash-only sessions. Its range covers everything from small one-point tattoos to traditional Japanese wabori, Western-style tattooing, and tribal work, and the studio also takes on remakes and cover-ups of tattoos done elsewhere, handling all genres under one roof. The artist behind the studio, known as Shukudo (Masayuki), founded the space in 2008 and continues to work there as both tattooer and painter.

Hygiene is treated as a core part of the studio's practice: needles, ink, bed sheets, razors, gloves, and protective film are all single-use, while grips and tubes are ultrasonically cleaned and then sterilized in an autoclave before being sealed in sterile packaging until the moment of use. Consultations are arranged by phone or email, allowing clients to discuss design details, placement, sizing, and budget before booking a session. Based in Kasugai City, Aichi Prefecture, the studio welcomes walk-in inquiries for consultations even without an immediate booking commitment.
