Tattoo Ajito

Tattoo Ajito has been tattooing in Naha, Okinawa since 2007, working from a studio near Kokusai Street in the heart of the city. The shop specializes in traditional Japanese tattooing, or wabori, alongside an "any style, all custom" approach that also covers black and gray, color work, tribal, and cover-ups. Lead artist Mikazzki works in both machine and hand-poked tebori techniques, describing the studio's philosophy simply as "tradition and innovation." The team also includes artist Rin, and guest artists from across Japan and abroad regularly work at the shop as well.

The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with walk-ins accepted and casual studio visits or design consultations encouraged for anyone curious before committing to a piece. Every tattoo is treated as a one-of-a-kind design made for the individual client rather than pulled from a fixed catalog. Alongside its original Naha location, the studio operates a second space in Nakameguro, Tokyo, giving clients in both cities access to the same artists.
