TATTOO MAGU

Tattoo Magu is a fully appointment-only tattoo art studio located just north of Kochi Castle in Kochi, Japan. The studio's roots go back to 1999, when work began in Osaka; that chapter closed in 2015, followed by a period of activity in the Netherlands starting in 2016, before the artist returned to Japan and resumed work in Kochi in November 2022. The focus is on original, custom-designed tattoos, with particular strength in black and gray work, realistic tattooing, and realistic Japanese-style irezumi.

Every project begins with a personal consultation covering design, style, size, and placement, and clients are welcome to bring references even if their ideas aren't fully formed yet; consultations are offered free of charge. Aftercare is treated as an essential part of the process, with guidance and care products available after each session. Drawing clients from across Shikoku, including Matsuyama, Imabari, Takamatsu, Saijo, and Niihama, the studio emphasizes close collaboration between artist and client from the initial meeting through to healed results, aiming for tattoos built on trust and shared effort at every stage.
