TATTOO.MATSU

TATTOO.MATSU is a tattoo studio located near Inage Station in Chiba, Japan, a short five-minute walk from the station. The studio works across all genres without restriction, from traditional Japanese-style tattooing (wabori) to Western-style work, and welcomes cover-ups and the continuation of pieces started at other studios. Every design is created fully original for the client, developed through an in-person consultation before the tattoo session, with the design and consultation itself offered free of charge.

The studio's range spans Japanese style, black and gray, color work, and girl's tattoo designs, reflecting a broad, all-genre approach to the craft. Hygiene is treated as a priority, with single-use needles, ink, ink caps, and gloves, alongside on-site ultrasonic cleaners, autoclaves, and sterilizers. Clients are encouraged to bring reference images and ideas to their first meeting so that size, placement, and motif can be discussed before the artwork is finalized.
