38 Tattoo (Room 38) is a tattoo studio in Brussels, Belgium, founded by two artists who each honed their craft at major tattoo shops before joining forces to build a space reflecting their own shared vision. The studio's work centers on blackwork, spanning abstract and realistic approaches as well as classic engraving. One artist, a Spanish tattooer specializing in engraving, draws on Greco-Latino themes, gothic architecture, and baroque aesthetics to infuse each piece with romantic melancholy. The other, a Belgian artist and trained graphic designer, blends abstract textures with Japanese suminagashi influences and creates distorted, unusually mixed realism-based designs. Appointments are arranged directly through the artists' individual Instagram profiles rather than a central booking system, keeping the process personal and closely tied to each artist's own portfolio and style.
