Tattoo Studio Devils Hand

Tattoo Studio Devils Hand is located in the city center of Braunschweig, Germany, run by artist Patrick Sanner, known as Shino. Sanner discovered his artistic roots in the graffiti scene before leaving his hometown in 2008 to train as a tattoo artist in Bavaria, guided by mentors who also came from a graffiti background. He returned to Braunschweig in 2012 to work at a local studio, where his work was soon featured in a national tattoo magazine, before opening his own shop, Devils Hand, in 2015.

The studio specializes in four core styles: Old School, Black & Grey, New School, and Japanese tattooing. Old School work draws on traditional sailor motifs from the 1920s to 1960s, featuring bold outlines and bright red, green, and blue fills. New School builds on that foundation with more colorful, detailed, and comic-inspired imagery enhanced by light and flash effects. Japanese-style tattoos blend traditional Japanese and Chinese motifs like dragons, cherry blossoms, and koi with popular manga-inspired designs, while Black & Grey work focuses on shaded, monochrome tattoos often used for realistic portraits. Appointments are arranged in advance, by phone or in person at the studio.
