El Xixo Tattoo

El Xixo Tattoo has been part of Cidade Baixa in Porto Alegre since 2018, working from a space located right in front of Parque da Redenção. The studio grew out of street culture — graffiti, skateboarding, punk, and hip hop — and treats tattooing and piercing as forms of art, protest, and personal expression. Over its seven years of history, the team has completed more than 5,000 tattoos and over 1,500 piercings, while fully complying with local health and sanitary regulations, using disposable or sterilized materials in a clean, welcoming environment. The house artists work across fineline, traditional, blackwork, black and grey, color, and custom/authorial pieces, each bringing a distinct hand while sharing a commitment to respect, safety, and freedom of expression.

Beyond tattooing, the studio positions itself alongside social causes, taking part in school events, LGBTQIAPN+ initiatives, and community actions, and supporting local artists as part of Porto Alegre's creative culture. Clients can send reference images or reach out directly to be matched with the artist suited to their idea, receive a quote and scheduling suggestions, and get full aftercare guidance following their session. Custom designs are welcome, with the team adapting client-provided artwork or creating fully original concepts. Open Monday through Saturday from 10am to 7pm, the studio describes itself as a place where every line carries purpose and every needle tells a story.
