Balaclava Ink

Balaclava Ink is a professional tattoo studio in Brisbane, Australia, established in December 2021 and home to a team of award-winning artists. Owned and run by Alex Davies, who specializes in black and grey realism, the studio also has five artists and an apprentice covering portraits, colour work, Japanese, fine-line, and mandala styles. Every artist has their own personal work station within multiple private rooms, allowing each to express their individual artistic flair while working closely with clients on custom designs.

Clients are paired with the artist best suited to their requested tattoo, and the team is fully qualified, focused on quality, unique artwork, and a comfortable process from consultation through to finished piece. Walk-ins are always welcome for spontaneous ink, and bookings can also be made through social media. Recent studio work spans black and grey realism sleeves, portraits, and larger back and half-sleeve pieces, reflecting a studio culture built around detailed, long-lasting tattoo art and ongoing collaboration between clients and artists.
