Northern Ink Tattoo and Piercing

Northern Ink Tattoo and Piercing is a modern, established studio in Huddersfield with over 30 years of experience in the art of tattooing and piercing. The studio specializes in Japanese, custom, tribal Maori-Polynesian, and old school tattoo styles, alongside cover-ups, laser tattoo removal, scalp micro pigmentation, and body piercings. Freehand custom designs are a particular focus, with the team able to replicate clients' own ideas as well as offer thousands of pre-made designs. Work is carried out to a 100% sterile procedure, and the studio is environmentally registered. It is a member of the Tattoo Club of Great Britain and the Tattoo Associations of Japan, Australia, and the USA.

The studio is led by founder and head tattoo artist J Lee, who has studied Maori, Polynesian, custom, and Japanese styles throughout his career and is noted as an expert in portraits and full sleeves. International guest artists visit the Huddersfield studio as a result of his experience working in tattoo studios around the world. Walk-ins are welcome Tuesday to Saturday between 11:00 and 16:00, with Sundays and Mondays available by appointment only. Gift vouchers are also available, and the studio stocks a range of piercing jewellery and tattoo-related merchandise.
