Adara Tattoo Collective has been part of York's tattoo scene since 2017, founded as a collaboration between artists Josh Dixon and Lauren Gabb. The studio has since grown into a full collective, with tattoo artists Ryan Farmery, Kelsey Bolton, Harry Oyston, Ruby PiggyInk and Emma Swanton, alongside apprentice Aeva Denham and body piercer Danny Potts, working together under one roof. Located on East Parade in Heworth, just a short walk from York Minster and the heart of the historic city, the studio is easy to reach for locals and visitors alike.
The team at Adara caters to a wide range of tattoo styles, with several members recognised as award-winning artists, and custom designs are a core part of their approach. Alongside tattooing, the studio offers body piercing services and has even developed its own aftercare tattoo wash. Adara Tattoo Collective describes its space as laid back and welcoming, aiming to put clients at ease whether they're booking a custom piece or a piercing. The studio also stocks its own aftercare products and apparel, and keeps clients updated on diary openings and flash days through its social channels.
