Terrier Tattoo

Terrier Tattoo is a custom tattoo studio in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, founded in 2021 by artist Shane Bowles. The studio grew out of a personal creative practice that began during lockdown in 2020, when Shane spent hours each day tattooing to pass the time, eventually turning that dedication into a proper premises once restrictions lifted. Since opening, the team has expanded to include artist Shannon of Pure Ink of Heart, alongside apprentices Pete of Thunder Groove Ink and Emma of Topaz Ink Tattoos, building a small collective of talent under one roof.

The studio is led by an award-winning airbrush artist and is built around a relaxed, ego-free environment where clients are put at ease throughout their visit. Custom design work is central to the approach, with an aim to deliver personalised customer service and make every tattoo experience a positive, memorable one. The team treats each piece as a meaningful part of the wearer's identity rather than a passing trend. The studio is open Tuesday through Saturday, closed Mondays, Sundays, and all major bank holidays, welcoming walk-ins and consultations during regular business hours in Mansfield.
