American Art Tattoo has served Newark, Delaware and the University of Delaware community since 1990, making it one of the longest-operating tattoo studios in the state. Walk-ins are welcome Monday through Saturday, and the shop's exterior has become a local landmark, having featured a series of commissioned murals over the years, including a tribute honoring those lost on 9/11 and later designs, one created by master artist Derrick Noel. Rooted in its community and history, American Art continues to be a familiar name for tattoo and body art in Newark.
