Ancient Art Tattoo has served Lewes, Delaware for over a quarter century, having been established in 1994. The studio is licensed, inspected, and approved by the Delaware Board of Health, with tattooing performed by artists who bring decades of experience and knowledge to their work. Clients can visit for both walk-ins and appointments, with most days open and most forms of payment accepted. Alongside tattooing, the studio offers body piercing using only high-grade implant titanium and 14k gold jewelry, with piercers using top-quality needles to keep the experience as safe and comfortable as possible.
The current artist team includes Bones, a versatile tattooer with over 25 years of experience across all styles who has spent his career catering to clients in Sussex County's summer resort setting, and Edison, whose favorite styles include Neotraditional, Japanese, Dotwork, and Blackout, alongside an easygoing, creative approach to any design a client brings in. Since its founding by Peggi Hurley, the shop has passed through several ownership groups, most recently joining the Tattoo Galaxy family of shops and artists in 2019, while maintaining its long-standing reputation for quality, cleanliness, and care.
