Stronghold Tattoo

Stronghold Tattoo operates from the first floor of a studio on Charles Street in Cardiff city centre, offering walk-ins Monday to Saturday for anyone looking to get tattooed without a prior booking. The shop is run day-to-day by resident shop manager Shaun, who is on hand to discuss projects and get clients booked in with the right artist. Custom work is also available for those who prefer to plan ahead and get in touch directly rather than dropping by.

The studio houses a team of eight resident artists, including David Swambo, Ashley Davies, Dylan David, Bradley Tompkins, George Marsden, Matt Stevens, Harry Hunter and Stefan Meredith, each bringing their own individual style and body of work to the shop. Stronghold also welcomes guest artists from further afield, hosting visiting tattooers for limited guest spots throughout the year. Beyond tattooing, the studio extends its identity through its own merchandise, available via its online shop and Redbubble store, alongside an active social media and YouTube presence documenting work from the Cardiff space.
