The Tattooed Gent

The Tattooed Gent has served Birmingham's tattoo and body piercing community for 11 years, building a loyal following in the Erdington area. The studio's resident tattooist has been working professionally since 2005, developing a style rooted in old school tattooing and evolving to embrace Japanese and blackwork influences alongside traditional tattoo art. The work often centres on the female form, playful bold compositions, and dot-work mandala designs, with recurring themes of beauty and darker, sinister undertones. Each piece typically begins as a freehand outline sketched on rice paper before being developed into a finished design, giving the studio's output a distinctly hand-drawn, artist-led feel.

Beyond tattooing, the studio offers a dedicated body piercing service, complete with a curated selection of body jewellery and aftercare guidance for both tattoos and piercings. Guest artists also feature alongside the resident team, broadening the range of styles available to clients. Full galleries of past tattoo and piercing work are viewable, giving prospective clients a clear sense of the studio's craftsmanship before booking. With straightforward online booking for piercing appointments and clear terms for tattoo work, the studio combines a personal, artist-driven approach with practical, accessible service for Birmingham's tattoo and piercing enthusiasts.
