Gallery Tattoo & Piercing 1999 has served Alvaro Obregon and Mexico City for more than 22 years, tracing its roots to one of the first professional studios dedicated to tattoos and piercings in the historic Zona Rosa district. Founded by a group including Gabo "el Mexicano," Héctor "Malas," "Axl," "Lucas," and "Ponch," the studio has trained numerous tattoo and piercing artists over the years and built a reputation as one of the most iconic names in Mexican tattooing. Its founders appeared on notable television programs of their era, including over two years of regular tattoo and piercing segments on Vida TV, and advised COFEPRIS on training health inspectors at the studio's own facilities.

The current team includes tattoo artists and piercers offering custom tattoo work and professional piercing services, with an emphasis on creativity, care, and comfort throughout each session. Clients can walk in or book appointments online for tattoos, piercings, and special events held throughout the year. Piercings are performed with new, sterilized equipment and hypoallergenic titanium jewelry. Combining decades of experience with a long list of trained artists who have gone on to shape the local tattoo scene, the studio continues to blend professionalism and artistry in one of the city's most storied creative neighborhoods.
