Underdogs Tattoo Gallery has been part of New Castle, Indiana since opening its doors in May 2017. The shop was founded by three artists who loved working together and wanted to build a space centered on art and growth, and the studio quickly received an overwhelming welcome from the local community. Today the team includes owner and artist Mitch Preston alongside additional artists and a piercer, offering custom tattoo work, flash designs, and piercing services to guests throughout the region.
The crew describes itself simply as a group of nerds who work with their best friends and get to do what they love, and that camaraderie shapes the studio's laid-back, welcoming atmosphere. Clients can book appointments or drop in as walk-ins, with tattoo hours running Tuesday through Saturday and piercing services available Wednesday through Saturday. Prospective clients are encouraged to browse individual artist portfolios to find the right fit for their custom project, and a gallery of recent work showcases the shop's range. The focus throughout remains on delivering strong artwork paired with a genuinely positive client experience.
