Oddities Tattoos & Antiques is a woman-owned and run tattoo shop located just a few blocks from the Monterey Bay Aquarium in Monterey, California. The studio is home to five permanent artists, offering a range of styles that clients can explore through individual portfolios, plus an apprentice preparing to take on her first clients. Alongside tattooing, the shop doubles as a curiosity destination, selling a wide variety of antiques and oddities ranging from beautiful to haunted, making it a spot worth visiting even for those not getting inked.
Founded by co-owners with roots in the Salem Tattoos crew at the historically haunted Brookdale Lodge, the shop carries that same offbeat, macabre-friendly sensibility into its Monterey location. As members of the LGBTQIA+ community, the owners have built the space around inclusivity, striving for a safe, comfortable environment for all walks of life with zero tolerance for discrimination. Bookings are currently open, and walk-ins are welcome depending on the day's availability and the tattoo requested. Appointments can be arranged by email or through the shop's online booking form.
