Magic Rooster Tattoo is a custom tattoo shop in Mauldin, South Carolina, near Greenville. It was opened in February 2015 by Jeff Pence, starting out as an empty bare space that was built up from the ground into a working studio. Every tattoo produced here is a unique piece of artwork, drawn individually for each client rather than pulled from flash sheets, reflecting a fully custom approach to the craft. Appointments require a non-refundable deposit that is applied toward the final price of the tattoo, a policy meant to protect the artists' time and drawing work. The shop operates on a cash-only basis and keeps regular hours Tuesday through Saturday, with additional appointment times available outside of posted hours. Prospective clients can also keep an eye out for future guest artists and special events hosted at the studio.
