Hudson River Tattoo has served Hudson, New York since opening in January 2011, founded by Eric Edward and Pamela Grande. Before setting up shop, the pair split time between New York City and a weekend home in the Catskills, and noticed there were no professional tattoo shops in the area, meaning locals had to travel well outside town for quality body art. Eric built his craft over a decade working at respected shops including Daredevil Tattoo, True Blue Tattoo, and Big Joe and Sons, after starting out at Anchor Steam Tattoo in Newport, RI. Pamela's path into tattooing came through Rising Dragon, where she managed for years after working in NYC hospitality.
The studio's small storefront on Warren Street was built to feel welcoming, with the goal that anyone who walks in feels at home and confident they're getting first-rate work. The team includes owner and tattooer Eric Edward alongside artists John Reardon and Joe Staska, offering custom tattoo work to the Hudson Valley community. The shop is open Wednesday through Sunday and shares a gallery of completed pieces from satisfied customers, reflecting its ongoing commitment to quality craftsmanship in a genuinely local, easygoing setting.
