Triangle Tattoo & Museum

Triangle Tattoo & Museum has operated in downtown Fort Bragg, California since 1986, founded by tattooists Mr. G and Madame Chinchilla. It is one of only a few public museums in the world dedicated to the display of tattoo artifacts, housed in one of the town's original Victorian storefronts alongside the working tattoo studio. The museum is open seven days a week, welcomes all ages, offers free admission, and provides school and personal tours upon request. Mr. G and Madame Chinchilla bring decades of tattooing experience and have authored several books on tattoo history and culture, in addition to appearing in documentaries, films, and television as tattooed personalities and tattoo consultants.

The studio operates as a traditional street shop, carrying forward the old-days approach to tattooing. Rather than specializing in one style, the artists tattoo any style for any client who walks through the door, moving comfortably between flash designs pulled straight off the wall and fully custom, one-of-a-kind pieces. This openness to being challenged by diverse requests is central to the shop's philosophy, with each new tattoo treated as a meaningful, deeply personal process rather than routine work. The combination of hands-on tattooing and museum-quality historical artifacts makes it a distinctive stop for both tattoo clients and visitors interested in the craft's history.
