Dawg Tags Tattoo is a tattoo parlor in Big Rapids, Michigan, offering both tattoos and piercings under one roof. The shop has been in business since 2013, and its owner has been tattooing longer than any other artist in the area. Two artists work out of the studio, Dennis and Amber, each with their own portfolio of past work. Tattoo work is charged by the piece and spans color tattoos as well as black-and-white portrait pieces, with clients able to bring in an idea, placement, and level of detail to receive a rough estimate before booking.
Piercing services include barbells, rings, studs, and plugs, giving clients options beyond ink alone. The studio welcomes clients starting at age 16, with those under 18 required to bring a birth certificate, ID, and a consenting parent, while adult clients sign a basic release form before their appointment. The overall approach is straightforward and personal, encouraging people to share what they're passionate about and turn it into wearable art. Whether commemorating a loved one, expressing personal style, or supporting a cause, visitors are invited to stop by the Big Rapids location to plan their next tattoo or piercing.
