Licensing & Training
- All tattoo artists must obtain a Body Art License from the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services.
- Artists must complete a bloodborne pathogens and infection control course.
- All tattoo studios must be licensed and follow sanitation guidelines.
Studio & Health Regulations
- Studios must meet state sanitation requirements and undergo annual inspections.
- All equipment must be properly sterilized using an autoclave.
- Written aftercare instructions must be provided to every client.
Age Restrictions
- Minors under 18 years old may be tattooed with prior written parental consent, with the consenting parent or guardian present during the procedure (Neb. Rev. Stat. § 38-10,165).
