Portland Tattoo Shops
What to Know Before Getting a Tattoo in Portland, OR
Most tattoo shops in Portland require a non-refundable deposit to hold a custom appointment — this is standard industry practice and is applied toward the final cost. Walk-in availability is common for flash designs and smaller pieces; custom or larger work typically requires booking 2–6 weeks in advance depending on artist demand. Before committing, review the artist's portfolio for healed examples in your chosen style, confirm the pricing structure upfront, and ask about aftercare products the shop recommends.
