Getting a Tattoo in China: What to Expect
Tattoo regulations and licensing requirements vary across countries. Studios in China operate under local health department standards — when booking, look for shops that maintain clearly hygienic workspaces and are transparent about their sterilisation practices. If you are visiting from another country, book well in advance: many sought-after artists fill their schedules weeks or months ahead. Confirm deposit requirements, cancellation policies, and language of communication before locking in your appointment.
