Licensing & Training
- Artists must obtain a Tattoo Artist License from the Oregon Health Licensing Office.
- Completion of a 360-hour tattoo apprenticeship is required.
- Artists must pass both a written exam and a practical skills test.
Studio & Health Regulations
- All tattoo studios must be licensed and inspected by the Oregon Health Authority.
- Strict sanitation procedures must be followed, including autoclave sterilization.
- Single-use needles, gloves, and ink caps are required for each procedure.
Age Restrictions
- Minors under 18 years old cannot be tattooed, even with parental consent.
