Oregon has some of the most comprehensive tattoo licensing requirements in the U.S. Licensing & Training Artists must obtain a Tattoo Artist License from the Oregon Health Licensing Office. Completion of a 360-hour tattoo apprenticeship is required. Artists must pass both a written exam and a practical skills test.
